A Hot Work Permit is required for any temporary operation involving open flames or producing heat and/or sparks. This includes but is not limited to: Brazing, Cutting, Grinding, Soldering, Torch Applied Roofing, and Welding. This permit is for short-term work only; any hot work which will consist of three or more days will require a Hot Work Permit from the City of Orange Fire Department.

Unless deemed an emergency repair, all hot work permits must be obtained two work days prior to work being started.
